The Giant BBQ Battle, an annual celebration of food and music, enlisted Emerson Street Media’s services to make their event bigger and better than ever before. The annual event takes place on historic Pennsylvania Avenue and is a summer staple for Washington, D.C.. When presented with the opportunity to work on this event, we jumped on it immediately. With the support of our team, the 32nd Annual Giant BBQ Battle attracted over 80,000 attendees, a 540% increase in downtown tourism over a non-typical event weekend, according to the Office of the Deputy Mayor for Planning and Economic Development.

Southwest Business Improvement District

Emerson Street Media began an engagement as the Southwest Business Improvement District’s (SWBID) PR, social and video partner to showcase how it operates differently from other BIDs. When they transformed a dark underpass into a colorful mural gallery, we were tasked with executing a communications campaign designed to raise awareness about the project, which resulted in significant media coverage.

Assisting SAP with their 2021 virtual sales conference, Emerson Street Media contributed to scriptwriting, content creation, voiceover work, and strategic counsel, ensuring a successful event that equipped SAP's sales team for the future.

HIS Grooming

Emerson Street was tasked with creating a branding video for HIS Grooming, a unique barbershop in Capitol Hill that extends beyond mere haircuts to encapsulate a community spirit. Through in-depth conversations with the owner, Jared Scott, the team aimed to weave in his dedication, professional ethos, and his notable connection with Representative John Lewis. Taharka Brothers, a renowned ice cream brand in Baltimore known for its community engagement, partnered with Emerson Street Media for their campaign announcing a shift to an employee-owned, majority black-owned business model. When a sudden building accident occurred at one of rand* Construction's projects over the Christmas holiday, Emerson Street Media was enlisted to manage the communications fallout. Emerson swiftly engaged with rand*, devising a thorough strategic communication plan encompassing press releases and consistent updates.
