Ross Dress for Less: Journey of a Product

Emerson Street Media worked with Ross Dress for Less and led the production of an internal video following the journey of a product from sourcing to the store shelf to emphasize the key roles of support functions across the organization. ESM placed particular emphasis on pre-production planning given the video’s heavy reliance on animation,  script development, visual style exploration, and the creation of detailed storyboards to map out pacing, transitions, and cohesive storytelling techniques.

ESM also managed the sourcing and integration of actors as well as a professional voiceover artist. This process began with defining the desired tone, cadence, and vocal profile to align with Ross’ brand identity. ESM curated a shortlist of vetted talent, coordinated auditions, and guided the Ross team through selection.

Throughout the project, ESM served as both creative lead and strategic partner – balancing efficient project management with a flexible, feedback-driven approach. The result was a streamlined production process that strengthened cross-team collaboration and alignment within the Fortune 500 company.
