We were entrusted with providing messaging, speech and presentation training to EagleBank executives and participants left with the strategies, tactics and – perhaps most importantly – the confidence to successfully articulate what makes EagleBank different and better than the competition.
We began each session outlining the process and goals, consistently underscoring the overall objective of improving executive presence that would result in the increased growth and success of EagleBank. During each highly interactive session, we went through the following steps:
In preparation, we conducted a thorough review of our existing training curriculum and began tailoring it to the EagleBank executives. We recognize that some training elements are universal, but the most effective sessions happen when we focus on the needs and goals of the individual. We held multiple prep calls with the training participants as well as our EagleBank counterpart to ensure alignment on every detail of the sessions: tactics, strategies, timing, mock presentations, Q&A, etc. Additionally, we did extensive research to incorporate methods that had proven successful.
In our ongoing partnership with EagleBank, we have gained a clear understanding of the bank’s business goals and strategic objectives, as well as how EagleBank is positioned in the community banking landscape. As a result, we were entrusted with the project of providing messaging and speech and presentation training to EagleBank executives. In the highly competitive industry of community banking – especially during particularly challenging economic times in the DC region – we knew this training program could significantly impact EagleBank’s reputation in the marketplace.
Following each session, we conducted a thorough internal debrief, identifying what worked and areas of improvement. We compiled notes and perspectives and then delivered an after-action report detailing and summarizing the important elements of the session. These reports were very well-received by each participant. Furthermore, in discussions with our counterpart at EagleBank, we received positive feedback on the sessions and subsequent impact. Based on this feedback and our own observations, we are confident that the media training sessions successfully enhanced the executives’ messaging, speech and presentation skills—equipping them with the strategies, tactics and confidence needed to clearly articulate what makes EagleBank stand out from the competition.
